If you're planning a wedding at Vinrich Lake Resort, here's how the pieces typically fit together — useful whether you're just starting to look around or already comparing dates.

Picking a date

Weekend dates book up first. If you have some flexibility, a weekday date usually gives you more choice of hall. Either way, call or WhatsApp us early to check availability before you settle on anything else.

Choosing your space

Vinrich has several spaces, and many couples use more than one on the same day:

• Lakewood Château — a timber pavilion built over the water, ideal for ceremonies and intimate receptions.
• Riverbank Château — a soaring timber pavilion with a private mezzanine gallery overlooking the reception below.
• The Amethyst Hall and the air-conditioned Olivine Banquet Hall — for receptions.
• The outdoor lawns — right on Bolgoda Lake, popular for poruwa ceremonies, photographs and evening events.

Together, our spaces can host up to 325 guests, so the right combination depends mainly on your guest count and whether you want an indoor or outdoor reception.

Guest count and menus

Once you have a rough headcount, the menu is the next decision. Each hall has its own set of buffet menus, and most let you pick your own dishes from each course:

• Lakewood & Riverbank Château: four menus, from Rs. 6,040 to Rs. 7,610 net per person.
• Amethyst & Olivine: from Rs. 4,610 to Rs. 7,350 net per person, including Sri Lankan, Western, Chinese and vegetarian menus.

What to check before you book

• Availability for your date, and whether it allows for both a ceremony and reception on site.
• Which hall or outdoor space suits your expected guest count.
• Menu choices and any dietary requirements for your guest list.
